Level 1 Art Practical
Course Description
Learners will be creating artworks based on surrealism and fantasy themes. A range of art making techniques are learnt and applied including painting, sculpture, drawing and printmaking.
Learners will be working in the art department with experienced and specialist teachers that work with students individually to enhance their art ability regardless of the level of skill they start with.
There is no written assessment in this subject, so it is suitable for students with all levels of literacy.
This course is NCEA Achievement Standards and learners are able to get course endorsements.
This course leads to Level 2 and 3 and is University Approved.

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
$25 covers the costs for students individual take home materials such as paint, brushes.
