Year 10 Art
Course Description
This course is for students that wish to explore a range of creative art making processes and ideas. Learners will be working with different materials throughout the year to learn new techniques and express themselves through their art works.
Learners will be working in the art department with specialist teachers to create digital and practical artworks. Some of the skills covered in this course are Digital Photography, Photoshop, Illustration, Clay Sculpture, Stop Motion Animation, Character Drawing (Manga and Fantasy), Painting and Printmaking.
Year 10 Art offers Level 1 NCEA credits, so learners can get a head start on their Level 1 Certificate.
This is an exciting course that caters for students individual ideas and leads to Level 1, 2 and 3 NCEA courses that are University Approved and eligible for course endorsements and scholarships.

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Students will need their own stationary - Pencil, Eraser, Ruler. All other materials such as clay and paint are provided by the Art Department.
