Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr U. Vea

Students will involve in:
•Carrying out practical investigations: titration, precipitation and redox reactions. The data collated from the practical activities will be tabulated, processed, analysed and then use that to present a report.


Course Overview

Semester 1
The main focus for semester one is to complete three of the four internal standards.
1. Quantitative analysis
2. Research on a current technology
3. Qualitative analysis

Semester 2
The main focus of this semester is to complete the internal standard - Understanding Redox and Preparing students for the external standard - Organic Chemistry.

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

Exercise book, pen, pencil etc. It is strongly recommended that each student must have a calculator.

Recommended Prior Learning

Students who are enrolling in this course must have completed Level 1 Science.Open Entry
