Level 2 Printmaking
Course Description
Students will be choosing and researching a topic that connects across their English and Media Studies classes.
Students will be developing and clarifying ideas generated using a range of printmaking techniques that are systematically clarified and influenced by established practice.
Students will systematically develop and refine prints made throughout the year to submit for both the internal assessments and the external folio board.
Students will have the option to extend their work in a new way with an extra 4 credit assessment in semester 2. This assessment will link in with their English assessment. Students will have the opportunity to explore new processes such as photography, film making, book making, illustration, animation – it will be a great opportunity for students to investigate art making that is exciting and new to them.
(Students that need to develop their work from the folio boards further will be encouraged to use this time to improve the quality of their work).
