This course includes:
Trips to the Day Care and Early Childhood centers to practice the theory learnt in class.
Computer based learning.
Making resources to use in the early childhood setting.
Organize a play date for a group of children under five years of age.

Recommended Prior Learning
Students need to be taking three university approved subjects to be able to do the Bachelor of Education. NCEA Level 1 English – part of prerequisites for studying the certificate in Early childhood education

Completion of this course will introduce students to the study of Education and to prepare students for entry into the Bachelor of Education to become a Teacher, Social Worker or Nurse.
