Level 2 Construction
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr Lal.
This course leads on from Level 1 Construction. It is designed for students that who aiming towards a career in trades. It is made up of theory units and practical projects. Students that successfully complete this course will receive a National Certificate in Building, Construction and Allied Trades. Leads to Level 3 Construction.
It’s an innovative, practical and multi-disciplinary programme for students, providing them with the skills and knowledge to springboard into any career in the construction industry. As well as building skills and an understanding of all trades in the construction industry. They also develops literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
Course Overview
Semester 1
* Demonstrate knowledge of and apply safe working practices in a BCATS environment (4 credits)
* Identify, select, maintain, and use portable power tools for BCATS projects (6 credits)
Semester 2
* Implement advanced procedures using resistant materials to make a specified product with special features (6 credits)
* Demonstrate knowledge of and use specified fixed machinery in the construction of BCATS projects (6 credits)
Recommended Prior Learning
Achieved all standards in Level 1 Construction and have a Minimum of 85% attendance.
