Course Description

In Year 10, Cook Island Maori is a full year course that focuses on developing communication skills in CIM. Students will continue to build on what they have learned in Year 9 CIM. They will be learning vocabulary, formulaic expressions, learning to present simple  speeches,  writing simple texts, and describing aspects of their own background and immediate environment. The skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing will be an integral part of their learning and students will be assessed on these skills. It is hoped that students of CIM, at the completion of this course will learn to appreciate the Cook Island culture, values and its relevance to their everyday life.

1 x exercise book
blue, black and red pens and a pencil
eraser, 1 glue stick, 1 pack of coloured pens, ruler and sharpener
Chromebook
Dictionary
There are a range of useful resources, both electronic and hard copy that can be used.
