Course Description

This program offers you an opportunity to create inspiring environmental friendly projects that are practical and hands-on. It will help you construct and design buildings/homes using 3D visual drawings both traditional and digital. This course is for you if you have a passion for being a critical thinker, a solver, a planner or even a person who would one day think of becoming an entrepreneur. This programme will help you to develop personal perspective and will cover the following assignments:
Portfolio design
presentation
Out-door chair design/product design
Sleep-out design/spatial design

Semester 1
Two Semesters
Design a portfolio
Develop personal perspective: Architect design (exterior & Interior design) and Product Design.
Students identifies cultures, languages, and talents are recognised and affirmed. Students learning needs are identified and addressed. This program offers you an opportunity to create inspiring environmentally friendly projects that are practical and hands-on. It will help you construct and design project using 3D visual drawings both traditional and digital.
Semester 2
Two Semesters
Design a portfolio
Develop personal perspective: Architect design (exterior & Interior design) and Product Design.

Recommended Prior Learning
A genuine interest in Architecture and spatial design, Year 10 design and visual communication, 2D and 3D drawing skills, and a knowledge in Instrumental drawings would be an advantage
Pathway
Design and Visual Communications can provide students with a strong foundation for a variety of career paths and learning opportunities.
These skills, such as drawing, drafting, and design thinking, can be applied in fields such as construction, engineering, interior design, landscape design, architecture, and urban planning.
Additionally, students may use these skills to pursue careers in marketing, surveying, product design, web design, the fashion industry, fine arts, or visual media.
By completing Level 1 Design and Visual Communication, students will have the skills needed to continue to Level 2 or pursue a cadetship or apprenticeship. This subject can also serve as a stepping-stone for further study in a related field.
