Design and Visual Communication/ DVC
Design and Visual Communication (DVC) in the New Zealand Curriculum cultivates design skills and thinking in both spatial and product design. Students explore visual communication, informed by design heritage and diverse cultures, to recognise and celebrate a variety of talents. This program emphasises hands-on creation of environmentally friendly projects, using both digital and traditional visual drawing techniques with an instrumental drawing techniques to achieve design outcomes. It is ideal for critical thinkers, problem solvers, and aspiring entrepreneurs. Students, as designers, bring unique perspectives drawn from their personal experiences and heritage to develop innovative solutions.
